Project Scope

Sendero Industries is proud to contribute to the new regional headquarters for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in downtown Mobile, AL. This six-story 200,000 square foot tilt-wall office building is part of a master development plan that includes a parking garage, retail space, and multifamily housing. Scheduled for completion in January 2025, this project represents a significant enhancement to the Civic Center area, contributing to Mobile’s growth and development.

Demolition: Sendero Industries handled the demolition phase, including: 

• Removal and haul-off of existing asphalt parking lot (120,348 SF) and concrete sidewalk (17,000 SF)
• Demolition and removal of billboard, fence (1,380 SF), and 15 trees

Earthwork: Our comprehensive earthwork involves:

• Precise site work to within a tenth of a foot
• Import of select fill and common fill (estimated 5,085 CY) to bring site to grade
• Grading, compaction, and preparation of building pads and paving to 95% standard density

Storm Sewer: For the storm sewer system, Sendero Industries installed: 

• 280 LF of 24″ RCP, 558 LF of 18″ RCP, and 416 LF of 8″ HDPE pipe
• 11 precast concrete grate inlets, 2 curb inlets, and 5 manholes

Sanitary Sewer: Our sanitary sewer system work includes: 

• 737 LF of 8″ DR 18 PVC pipe and fittings
• 3 precast concrete manholes with cast iron rings and covers

Fire/Water Main: For the fire/water main system, we installed:

• 1,112 LF of 16″ ductile iron pipe, 549 LF of 10″ C-900 PVC pipe, and 161 LF of 4″ C-900 PVC pipe
• A fire sprinkler service entry, fire hydrant, water compound meters, backflow preventers, and a 16″x10″ TS&V
