UPS Distribution Hub
Expansion project for 660,739-square-foot distribution center
- Client: Kajima Building & Design Group
- Size: 44 acres
- Location: Houston, TX
- Project Type: Full civil package
Project Scope
Growing demand sparked a 44-acre expansion project at a UPS distribution center in Houston, Texas. Constructed in phases, the project consisted of expanded parking areas and building a 660,739-square-foot distribution center.
During Phase II, Sendero Industries provided a complete civil package of earthwork, utilities, and a Contech CMP underground detention system – the most extensive detention system in the U.S. at the time.
The Contech Engineered Solutions underground detention system consisted of 29,000 linear feet of 96-inch diameter pipe, which stores 1.5 million cubic feet of stormwater.
Sendero completed 1.2 million square feet of paving stabilization, prepared a 650,000-square-foot building pad, and installed two lift stations.

Having worked with hundreds of construction crews before, I can say Sendero Industries has one of the best – they’re efficient, responsive, easy to communicate with, and got the job done!
